Distance Learning

The Instructional Systems (IS) program is fortunate to have two ways in which students can pursue their studies. On campus, we have a talented group of masters and doctoral students; however, our IS student body also includes an equally talented group of masters students who study through the distance learning format. Our distance learning peers are a valued part of the IS family and welcome members of the ISSA. As a distance student, you are encouraged to share your ideas, concerns, and interests with the ISSA board. You may contact the Vice President for Distance Learning or any board member.

Beginning with the Fall 2005 semester, the ISSA is introducing a mentoring program for distance students. The object of the program is to provide additional support for students who are new to the distance format. Beginning distance learners are often busy adults who are new not only to online learning but also to graduate studies. The skills and study techniques that lead to success can be easier to develop when entry-level students have the aid of more experienced distance learners.

If you would like to volunteer to be a mentor, please advise the program coordinator.

If you would like to have a mentor, please advise the program coordinator.
